Winifred R. Wolfe, age 99, Born September 2, 1923 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Daughter of the late Claude and Rachel Atto. Went to heaven on March 13, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends at River Crossing of Elgin, Illinois before her passing.
On June 28, 1947 she married her beloved Husband of 61 years, Robert A. Wolfe, Sr. Winifred, her husband, and children moved to Ohio from Canada in 1956. Since 2009 she was a resident of Carpentersville, Illinois, living with her daughter Kimberly Simms and Husband Robert.
Along with lovingly raising their four children she loved to knit, crochet, sew and do other crafts, cook and bake–a lady of many talents. She gave away many of her creations to family and friends.
Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sr. in 2008; her granddaughter, Heather Smith 2005; her Son, Robert A. Wolfe Jr. in 2012; and her Grandson, Blake A. Wolfe in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by sister, Mary Lee, of Kitchener, Ontario, Canada; her daughters: Candace (Ron) Smith, of Socorro, New Mexico, Wendy (Raymond) Fear, of Ravenna, Ohio, and Kimberly (Robert) Simms, of Carpentersville, Illinois. Other survivors include her cherished grandchildren: Ronald Jr., Heidi, Jeffrey, Chad, Jason, Robert, Rachel and 19 great grandchildren.
