Walter John Seilheimer, age 56, of Sleepy Hollow passed away on Monday evening at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. He was surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Elmhurst, IL on September 25, 1966. He was a resident of the Cary and Sleepy Hollow areas for the past 27 years.
John graduated from Elgin High School in 1985 and then served in the United States Navy. Following his time in the service, John worked in electrical/mechanical assembly. John was also a member of the Carpentersville Moose Lodge #1958. John was a loving son, father, brother and uncle. His absence will be deeply felt by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his sons, John W. and Thomas M. Seilheimer; his mother and step-father, Carol J. & Charles Dill; his sister, Amanda M. (Cris) Hinojosa; and his nephew Kaleb C. Blake. He is also survived by countless aunts, uncles, cousins and good and faithful friends.
Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Monday, February 13, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. There will be a Moose Funeral Ritual at 7 P.M.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at First Congregational Church 900 S. Eighth Street( Route 31) in West Dundee beginning with visitation at 10 A.M. and service at 11 A.M. Burial will follow at the Little Woods Cemetery, Dunham Road in Wayne.
