Obituary for Thomas "Tom" Lang
Thomas “Tom” Lang, age 80, of Sleepy Hollow former many-year resident of Glenview passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Tom was born in Yugoslavia on December 29, 1941, and was one of two sons born to the late John & Theresa (nee Horwath) Lang.
Following his time in the United States Army, Tom graduated from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Most of his professional career was spent in sales and for many years he was a loyal and valued employee of TYCO Fire and Security.
Tom was a resident of Sleepy Hollow for the past 10 years and a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee. Prior to relocating to Sleepy Hollow, for over 35 years Tom and Terri made their home and raised their family in Glenview.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife and best friend for 53 years, Theresa “Terri”; their two daughters; Susan and Karen, and his grandson, Jacob. Other survivors include many good and faithful friends.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother; Jacob, and his nephew John.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee from 9:00 A.M. until the time of a prayer service at 11:30 A.M. Interment will be private.
