Thomas A. Califf, age 70, of Brown Deer, WI passed away peacefully at home on February 9, 2023. Tom was born in Chicago IL on August 21st, 1952, and was the son of the late Hugh and June Califf. Tom was a veteran of the Viet Nam war and served in the U.S Air Force. Tom worked as a printer in his early years, and went on to master finish carpentry.
Most of all, Tom was a loving son, brother, and uncle. Survivors include his four living siblings Danny (Debbie) Califf, Mary (Steve) Ehlers, Patty (Ferdie, Jr.) Kimminau, and Mike (Jeannie) Califf. Other survivors include his five nephews, Sean (Carter) and Nick Califf, Kyle (Abigail) and Randall (Regina Sanchez) Kimminau, and Joe Califf.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jack and Hugh Jr., and nephew, Jason Califf.
One of Tom’s true passions was dogs. Over the years, he owned several dogs and was a contributor to animal welfare. Tom considered his Akita, Nicky and Shepherd, Katie to be members of his family.
At Tom’s request, he was cremated and will be inurned privately.
A Memorial Visitation for Tom and his mother June will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Saturday, March 25, 2023, from 1:30-until time of a Memorial Service at 3:00 P.M. officiated by Rev. J. Robert Camacho.
