Obituary for Theresa A. Matusik
Theresa A. Matusik, age 76, of West Dundee passed away suddenly in the comfort of her home on Wednesday evening, November 30, 2022. Theresa was born in Wausau, Wisconsin on October 27, 1946, and was the daughter of the late Lloyd & Frances Kees.
On April 20, 1968, she married her beloved husband Stanley J. Matusik, DDS. For over 54 years Stan and Theresa raised their family and worked together. Theresa worked alongside Stan in the running of his dental practice in the Dundee area for many years as his office manager until they retired.
For over 53 years, Theresa was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in West Dundee and was a former member of the Siena Circle. For 10 years, Theresa also was a member of St. Joseph Hospital Women’s Auxiliary where she volunteered weekly.
Theresa is survived by her husband of 54 years, Stanley J. Their daughter Pamela and her husband Jeffrey Miller, and their son Ryan and his wife Deanna Matusik. Theresa is also survived by her grandchildren: Stephanie and Christina Miller, Alexa, Owen, and Miles Matusik. Other survivors include her siblings: Lloyd, Sandy, Rodney, Leonard, and Scott. Her Matusik in-laws, her many nieces, and nephews as well as countless good and faithful friends. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by her brother Richard.
Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee with Rev. John McNamara, Pastor officiating. Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery in Palatine. Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and again at St. Catherine of Siena Church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 until the time of the Mass.
