Obituary for Stephen E Warner

Stephen E. "Steve" Warner, age 72, of Elgin, formerly of Portland, Oregon, and native of Dundee passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. Steve was born in Elgin on January 24, 1950, and was the son of Victor J & Kathleen (nee Stallman) Warner. Steve worked as a truck driver for all of his professional career. He loved a good time and enjoyed being with people as well as a Harley owner and enthusiast.

Survivors include his children, Victor "Skip" (Wendy) Warner, Joseph (Sandy) Warner, and Mandy (Roger) Carpenter. Other survivors include seven grandchildren: Nikki Warner, Alli (Kolton) O’Neill, Katelyn (Patrick) Mashburn, Dakota (Geneva) Carpenter, Adam Carpenter, Joseph Warner, and Zakary Warner; Seven great-grandchildren: Perry, Sara, Penelope, Jon, Ivy, Ember and Lawson; his siblings: Kathy Hurley, Lauren Christopherson, Sue (Jim) Stec, Mike (Linda) Warner, Phil (the late Cheri) Warner, Vicki (Fraser) Domich, Joan (Dan) Comenduley, and his sister-in-law, Barb Warner, as well as many nieces, nephews, countless cousins, and many friends. In addition to his parents, Steve was preceded in death by his grandson; Brandon, and his brother; John.

At Steve’s request he was cremated. A Memorial Gathering celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 2:00 P.M.-5:00 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee.
