Obituary for Stefan N. Gryczynski
Stefan N. Gryczynski, age 95, of Carpentersville passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Stefan was born in Poland on September 18, 1927, and was the son of the late Stefan& Solomea (Nee Kaminska) Gryczynski.
On July 7, 1961, he married his beloved wife Wladyslawa T. Grembowski. Wladyslawa preceded Stefan in death on November 6, 2006, after 45 years of marriage. Stefan made his home in Carpentersville for the past 53 years. Prior to retirement, Stefan was a valued and loyal employee of Chicago Rawhide in Elgin where he worked as a Tool & Die Setter. Stefan was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Survivors include his daughter, Krystyna (Robert C.) Anderson, and sons, Stefan (Renata) Gryczynski and Ryszard Gryczynski. Other survivors include his grandchildren: Stefanie Schmidt, Mark Schmidt, Ana (Kevin) Groenhof, David, and Olivia Gryczynski, and his great-grandchildren: Hunter, and Isabella Schmidt, Benjamin, Jacob, and Charlie Groenhof.
Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 A.M with the Rev. Zbigniew Zajchowski, officiating. Burial will follow at the Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee.
