Rose Marie "Cookie" (nee Petry ) Craft, age 72, of Carpentersville passed away on Wednesday morning, March 29, 2023, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family and under the care of hospice. Cookie was born on July 21, 1950, in Chicago and was the daughter of the late Frank & JoAnne (nee O’Brien) Petry.
Cookie was a lifelong resident of the Carpentersville area. On September 9, 1989, she married her beloved husband Terry Lee Craft. Terry preceded Cookie in death on October 24, 2018, after 29 years of marriage.

Survivors include her sons, Greg Petry and Michael Starr, and her grandchildren, Caleb, Clay, Chayce, and Cage. Other survivors include her sister, Bonnie Schmidt; her brother, John Petry, as well as her many nieces, nephews, and countless good & faithful friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband Terry Lee, Cookie was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret ”Maggie” Cleveland and Michelle Baldwin, her brother Frank (Robyn) Petry, her brother-in-law, Doug Cleveland, and her sister-in-law, Marjorie Petry.

At Cookie’s request, she will be cremated. Her family will be mourning their loss privately. There will be no visitation or services. Private family inurnment will be held at the Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee.
