Obituary for Roberta H. Tash
Roberta Helene Tash (nee Boyle), age 83, of Elgin, IL. passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home on Saturday April 8, 2023. Roberta was born on November 27, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, and was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Boyle and the late Helene (nee Kosek) Nitecki (late Edward).
On March 12, 1961, she married her husband James E. Tash. Jim preceded Roberta in death on April 29, 2018, after 57 years of marriage.
Roberta was a resident of the Elgin area for the past 9 years. Prior to retirement, she was an executive in the banking industry and finished her career as a legal secretary.
Survivors include her son, James E. Jr. and his wife Christine (nee Jasik) Tash, and her grandchildren: Katy,
Ian (Rachel), Courtney, Elijah, and James. Other survivors include her sisters, Carole Grissom (late Douglas), and Charlene Kwiatkowski (late Edward); her brothers, Thomas, and Duane Boyle, as well as her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents and her beloved husband Jim, Roberta was preceded in death by her brother, James, and her sisters, Marlene Meier and Denise Markham.
At Roberta’s request, she will be cremated. Her family will be mourning their loss privately.
