Richard L. “Rick “ Taylor, age 69, of Algonquin passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at his home. Rick was born in Elgin on January 21, 1953, and was the son of the late H.D. & Marilyn G. ( nee Misner) Taylor. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1971 graduate of Larkin High School. Rick was a former many year employee of Siegle’s in Elgin and later worked as a truck driver. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 786. Rick was a former member of the Algonquin Lions club and in earlier years was involved with his sons in Boy Scout Troop 155. For 17 years, he also was a Carpentersville Volunteer Fireman.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years Diane B. (nee Hoffman); their three sons, Christopher (Lisa), Derek (Chey), and Steven (Caitlin). Other survivors include his five grandchildren: Lily, Madeline, Declan, Emilia, and Mila; his sister, Julie Godsey, as well as his cousins, and many good and faithful friends. At Rick’s request, he was cremated. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, September 30, 2022, from 4-8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee. Please omit flowers.
