Obituary for Mary A. Hayden

Mary A. Hayden, age 73, of Independence, Wisconsin, and former resident of West Dundee and Carpentersville for over 40 years passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Pigeon Falls Nursing Home in Pigeon Falls, WI.
Mary was born on August 22, 1948, in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of the late John and Norine Lehocky. On February 8, 1975, she married the love of her life and best friend Frank W. Hayden. Frank preceded Mary in death on January 25, 2013, after 38 years of marriage.

Prior to retirement, Mary was a loyal and valued employee of First Bank of Chicago for 32 years. She enjoyed crafting and all types of needlework including crocheting and was an avid reader of books. Survivors include her daughters, Christine (Nee Hayden) and her husband Duane Welker, Jr., and Paula Hayden, as well as her grandchildren, Jennifer Reichel, Kelsey Strupp, and John Strupp, Jr. Other survivors include her brothers and sister-in laws, John and Karen Lehocky, Robert and Lark Lehocky, Karen and Michael Steere, and her nephew, eight nieces, and many good and faithful friends.

At Mary’s request, she was cremated. A memorial visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Friday, October 14, 2022, from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Family and friends will gather for funeral services at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the interment chapel of Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside with Rev. J.
