Obituary for Marie M. Lewandowski
Marie M. Lewandowski, age 92, of Carpentersville, passed away Sunday morning, April 2, 2023 at her home. Marie was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Sylvester and Martha (nee Dorsch) Czerniak.
Marie was a devoted Mom, Grandma, and Great Grandma. She enjoyed family vacations in Minnesota and spending time with her family. She loved puzzles and was an avid Chicago White Sox, Bears, and Blackhawks fan.
Marie is survived by her Children: Christine (Dale) Helfvogt, Darrell (Laura) Lewandowski, Karen (Tom) Greene, and Sharon Lewandowski; her Grandchildren: Janice (Abe), Deanna, Amanda (Emmanuel), Katherine, and Alison; her Great Grandchildren: Emmanuel, Emire, Destiny, Derrick, Chloe, Ethan, and Violette; and her five nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard D. Lewandowski, on June 24, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her four sisters and brother.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 4:00 pm-8:00 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee. Funeral Services will begin Wednesday morning, April 5, 2023 with prayers at 9:15 a.m. to St. Monica Church in Carpentersville for Mass at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at River Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Dundee. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
