Obituary for Manuel B. Dorado
Manuel B. Dorado, age 85, of West Dundee, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Advocate Sherman Hospital surrounded by his family. Manuel was born in Mexico on February 8, 1937, and was the son of the late Domingo Dorado and Antonia Bermudez. On February 14, 1957, he married the great love of his life Maria Imelda Gurrola.
Manuel is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Maria Imelda; Their six children: Maria E. (Gilberto) Caldera, Gerardo (Blanca) Dorado, Marisela (Huazcar) Lozano, Soledad (Ivan) Hernandez, Jose’ (Patricia) Dorado, and Silvia Dorado. Manuel is also survived by his 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Domingo and Rogelio Dorado, and his sisters, Carmela Gamboa and Bertha Borrayo, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Manuel was preceded in death by a sister and a brother. Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee with Rev. John McNamara, Pastor officiating. Burial will follow at the Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee. Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 4:00- 9:00 P.M. and again on Friday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass.
