Obituary for Kenneth John Boynton

Kenneth John Boynton, age 60, of West Dundee passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday evening, January 25, 2023, at his home. Ken was born in Evanston on March 28, 1962, and was the son of the late The Very Rev. Chester D.F. & Margaret "Margo” (nee Haas) Boynton.

Ken was a resident of the Dundee area on and off for the majority of his life and was a 1980 graduate of Dundee Community High School. During his high school years, Ken was a member of the Dundee Scots Marching Band. He was baptized and confirmed and was a long-time member of St. James Episcopal Church in West Dundee where his father served as Rector for many years. Following graduation from high school, Ken enlisted in the United States Air Force and faithfully served for 8 years. Prior to retirement, Ken worked as a truck driver and was a former employee of Meyer Material. Ken was an avid W.W. II enthusiast and was heavily involved with the W.W. II re-enactment community.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica, and her husband William Connell, his son, James Boynton, and his fiance’ Susanna Zvara. Other survivors include his three grandchildren Diana, Carter, and Lily, his sister Ann Boynton and his former wife Debbie Boynton.

Ken will be cremated. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at St. James Episcopal Church in West Dundee with Rev. Don Frye, Rector officiating. The inurnment will be private. The Boynton-Connell family will be receiving friends at the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Please omit flowers.
