Katrina C. Carlson, age 86, of East Dundee passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday morning, May 24, 2023, while under hospice care at Birches Assisted Living and Memory Care in Clarendon Hills. Katrina was born in Frankfurt, Germany on August 9, 1936, and was the daughter of the late Adolf & Erna (nee Koch) Kramer.
For over 25 years, Katrina was a resident of the Dundee area. She was a faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee. Prior to retirement, Katrina worked as a Registered Nurse.
Survivors include her children, Ronald (Ruth) Carlson and Audrey (Charlie) Alfano. Other survivors include her five grandchildren: Paul (Lauren) Alfano, Alexis (Michael) Metzen, Christopher (Lindsey) Alfano, Danny, and Nathan Carlson, and her three great-grandchildren, Wyndsor, Ellis, and Mae Charles Alfano. In addition to her parents, Katrina was preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert A. Carlson, on October 10, 2021, and her brother, Jochen Kramer.
Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Wednesday, May 31, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, West Dundee with Rev. Rey P. Talendo, officiating. Private family interment will be in Arizona. Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM and again on Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass.
