Joyce I. Wojtkiewicz, age 94, a resident of Carpentersville for 65 years passed away on Sunday afternoon, October 23, 2022, at River Crossing of Elgin. Joyce was born in Des Plaines on June 27, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Earl H. & Sylvia Mae (nee Harden) Quimby. Joyce was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Carpentersville.

She is survived by her four sons: Don Flint, Tom, Joe, and David Wojtkiewicz. Other survivors include her son-in-law, Paul Rooker, her seven grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1986; a son, Richard in 1994; her daughter, Patricia Rooker in 2021, as well as her two sisters and one brother.

At Joyce’s request, she will be cremated. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Carpentersville on Friday, October 28, 2022, at 10:00 A.M. with Rev.
