Joan A. Kruse, age 91, of East Dundee passed away on Thursday afternoon, January 26, 2023, at JourneyCare Hospice in Barrington. Joan was born in Chicago on June 16, 1931, and was the daughter of the late Lester W. & Margaret A. ( Nee Klos) Todd. On September 10, 1955, she married her beloved husband Harold F. Kruse. Joan and Harold made their home in East Dundee for the past 27 years and were members of St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee. Joan was also a member of the church choir.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 67 years, Harold F.; their son, Alan H. (Mary) Kruse, and their daughter Judith "Judy" (the late Michael) Ruffulo; her grandson, Christian T. Ruffulo, and granddaughter, Stacey L. Kruse. Other survivors include her brother Gerald V. (the late Joanne) Todd.

At Joan’s request, she will be cremated. Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee. Burial will be in the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Mass. Please omit flowers.
