Jerry L. Duncan age 66, of Carpentersville, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home surrounded by and under the care of his family on Sunday morning, December 4, 2022. Jerry was born on May 13, 1956, in Shawneetown, Illinois and was the son of the late George & Emily(nee Slaton) Duncan. Jerry was a lifelong resident of the Carpentersville area. Prior to retirement, for over 30 years Jerry was a loyal and valued employee of McWhorter in Carpentersville. Jerry was a longtime member, former officer, and former administrator of Carpentersville Moose Lodge # 1958 and a very proud U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Illinois American Legion Headquarters Post 2910. Jerry was a Harley enthusiast and was a member of the Carpentersville Moose Riders and a former many-year member of the Elgin American Legion Post # 57 Riders.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Donna M. Kosin Todd, they married on Sept. 22, 2005; his children: Tanya Bos, Richard Duncan, Donovan (Sandi) Duncan, Rhonda Hand, and Sarah (Courtney Conro and her daughter Riley) Todd. Other survivors include his 17 grandchildren: Ricky, Tony, Allie, Kyle, Hailey, John, Liam, Katie, Matrix, Ashley, Angela, George, Kristi, Amber, Ashly, Justin, and Jordan; Several great-grandchildren; his brother, Bill (Tiger) Duncan; his sister, Sandy (Mike) Wilson, many nieces and nephews, and countless good and faithful friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Jo “Mickey” Pflaum Duncan on April 15, 2001
Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. with the MOOSE Funeral Ritual Service at 7:00 P.M. under the direction of Carpentersville Moose # 1958. At Jerry’s request, if you are attending the visitation and service please wear your Harley Wear or anything casual. Family and friends will meet on Thursday at the Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee at 11:00 A.M. for Military Honors and Burial. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to Carpentersville Moose Lodge # 1958
