Obituary for Gregory V. Bash
Gregory V. “Greg” Bash, age 64, of Elgin passed away on Tuesday. March 7, 2023, at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin after a valiant battle with cancer. Greg was born on July 23, 1958 in Virginia and was the son of Howard J. “Jim” & Jean (nee Todhunter) Bash.
Greg was a resident of the area for the past 31 years. During his working years, he did roofing for many years and later was a truck driver. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially loved to fish.
Survivors include his wife, Michelle Trudeau Bash; his children: Kevin and Chris Whitmire, Jennifer (Dennis) Domzalski, Angela Bash, and Sandra (Scott) Law; his granddaughter, Audrey; his mother, Jean Bash; and his siblings: Dee (Mark) Ramirez, Tammy (Greg) Anthony, Terri (Jeff) Nielsen, Chris (Maria), and Matt (Ashley) Bash.
Other survivors include his Trudeau in-laws: Robert (Emma), Edward (Ana), and Thomas Trudeau, as well as his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
In addition to his maternal and paternal grandparents, Greg was preceded in death by his father, Jim Bash; his mother-in-law & father-in-law, Ann & Robert D. Trudeau; his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Trudeau; and brother-in-law, Joseph Trudeau.
At Greg’s request, he was cremated. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee from 4:00 P.M. until the time of a Memorial Service at 7:00 P.M.
