Obituary for Everett M. Clark Jr.

Everett “Bub" M. Clark, Jr. of Gilberts passed away very unexpectedly on Thursday January 5, 2023, at his home. He was born November 26, 1959 to the late Everett M., Clark Sr. and Velma I. (Nee Birkhead).
Everett was a lifelong resident of Gilberts and was very active in his community. He served many years as a village trustee and is a former Village President of Gilberts. He graduated from Dundee Community High school in 1977 and went on to graduate from Northern Illinois University, where he earned his degree in Electrical Engineering. Everett would then go on to open his own business, EMC, in 1984. He ran his Gilberts based business very successfully for many years.
Everett had a larger than life personality, he loved to be active, and he loved animals, especially dinosaurs. He had quite a unique dinosaur collection that he started in 2011. He was also a skilled martial artist, he learned and taught the art for many years. He will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues. His sudden passing has left a very large hole in the lives of those dearest to him. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Laura (Elwell), who he married on May 28, 2016. They have been partners and best friends for close to thirty years. Everett was very close with his children: Aslin (Joe) Fanning, Collin (Megan) Clark, and Stephanie (Chris) Wolke. He was very active in their lives and greatly enjoyed spending time with all seven of his grandchildren: Kailyn, Tiernan, Deaclan, Lochlan, Wrynn, Ian, and Graham. He also kept a very close relationship with his siblings and their children. He would meet Crystal (Glen "Butch") Varney and Patricia (Robert "Bob") Walser weekly for dinner and to play cards. Like his beloved dinosaurs, Everett left behind a footprint that will not be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 4:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday morning at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Wendy Witt, officiating. The interment will be private.
