Obituary for Elaine J. Dell'Aringa

Elaine Julianna Dell'Aringa, a woman of many talents and boundless virtues, gracefully departed this world on October 5, 2023, at the age of 79, surrounded by the embrace of loved ones within her Dundee, Illinois home. Born on August 16, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the cherished daughter of the late Edwin and Evelyn Pedtke.

Elaine possessed a creative, fun-loving spirit, and always sought to find the magic in life. Her dedication to her family and friends was unwavering, and she was known for her loyalty and kindness. Elaine embraced her roles as a loving wife, mother, and nana with grace and devotion. Throughout her life, Elaine dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home where she cultivated a legacy of love and laughter.
Elaine had an innate talent for capturing the beauty of nature through her photography. Her legendary tea parties brought her great joy and cultivated memories of enchantment and laughter with her loved ones.

Elaine's memory will forever be cherished by her beloved husband, Peter Dell'Aringa; her devoted son, David Dell'Aringa, and his wife, Nicole Dell'Aringa; her loving daughter, Justine Dell'Aringa, and her husband, John David Hurd; her adored grandchildren, Luca, Sienna, and Milan Dell'Aringa, and Henry and Levi Hurd as well as her brother, Melvin Pedtke.

Family and friends will gather for a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Catherine of Siena Church in West Dundee where Elaine's life will be honored and celebrated. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the Mass.

In lieu of floral tributes, the family kindly requests that charitable contributions be made in Elaine's name to the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, causes that were dear to Elaine's heart and reflect her compassionate nature.

Elaine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, her spirit and zest for life will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. May her soul find eternal peace and may her legacy continue to inspire generations to come.
