Dorothy L. Krueger, age 91, of Crystal Lake passed away on Wednesday morning, February 15, 2023, at Avantara Healthcare Center in Libertyville. Dorothy was born in Beech Bottom, West Virginia on January 19, 1932, and was the daughter of the late Luther & Nora(nee Anderson) Grizzel. Dorothy was a hairdresser by profession and later became a Beauty School Hairdressing Instructor. During the 1960s & ’70s, while living in Eureka, Missouri, Dorothy was an active parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was well known for her gardens, and her canning and bread-making talents. She donated many of her homemade baked and canned items to various church functions as well as the Fall Turkey Shoot.
Survivors include her son Arthur J. Krueger, her grandson Andrew Krueger and granddaughter Brittany Krueger. Other survivors include her brother, Eugene W. Grizzel, as well as several nieces and nephews especially Gene, Steve, Ron, and Mark Grizzel.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Krueger, her son Kevin Paul Krueger in infancy, her daughter-in-law, Dianne K. Krueger, her sisters, Berfia and Leona and her brothers, Walter, Luther, and Robert, and her sister-in-law, Margaret (nee Scott) Grizzel.
Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of funeral services at 4:00 p.m. which will be officiated by Rev. J.
