Donald A. Johnson, age 90, of West Dundee passed away in the comfort of his home under the care of his family and JourneyCare Hospice on Monday evening, December 5, 2022. Don was born in Albert Lee, Minnesota on December 31, 1931, and was the son of the late Harry S. & Theresa ( nee Weiss) Johnson. Don was a resident of the Dundee-Carpentersville area for over 60 years and he attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church in West Dundee. Prior to retirement, he had worked as a truck driver.

Survivors include his seven children: James and Greg Johnson, Patricia Goldberg, Dale, Donald, Jr.(Judy), Johnson, Cheryl (Don) Harrison, and Susan (Ken) Lohman. Other survivors include his 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, as well as his nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his first wife of 55 years Elaine I. King on May 6, 2005, his second wife of 15 years Sally M. Krahn on July 16, 2020, and his two brothers Richard and James Johnson. At Don’s request, there will be no visitation. Family and friends will gather for Graveside Funeral Services on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at River Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Dundee with Rev. Jim Murr, officiating.
