Dee (Dolores) VanPuyenbroeck (nee Bickerstaff) age 66, born August 9th, 1956 went to heaven on January 19th, 2023. Dee was surrounded by her loving family before her passing. She was a longtime resident of Carpentersville, IL, graduate of Irving Crown HS. Born in Hughes, Arkansas during her parent’s vacation.

Dee is survived by her husband of 46 years, Walter VanPuyenbroeck; her children Tony (Emily) VanPuyenbroeck, Dustin (Jasmine) VanPuyenbroeck, Krista (Andrew) Sithimorada., and her eight grandchildren: Jocelyn, Caden, Jade, Gavin, Keira, Owen, Braxton, and Dillon, who adored their Nani. Other survivors include her father, Raymond Moore, and her sisters, Mary & Debra Bickerstaff, as well as loving nieces, nephews and wonderful friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Rheta Moore; her brothers, David & Albert Bickerstaff, and her nephew, James Matlick.

Dee loved children and worked in childcare for years. Dee’s loving nature and empathy gave her the ability to see the world through a child’s eyes. She loved spending time with friends & family. She brought light and joy wherever she went and will be missed always. Dee always saw the beauty in all things, but the beauty was within her.
A memorial funeral service will be held in her honor on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Carpentersville (1647 Ravine Ln, Carpentersville, IL 60110) at 1:00 p.m. with refreshments to follow immediately after.
