Charlotte B. Campbell age 98 ½, of Wheaton former resident of Barrington Hills and later, East Dundee, passed away peacefully to her heavenly home on Friday, September 2, 2022, in Wheaton. Charlotte was born on January 28, 1924, in Chicago and was the daughter of the late Embry & Rose ( nee Schreiber) Benson.

She was a Registered Nurse by profession and received her RN from Augustana Hospital School of Nursing. She primarily worked in the Obstetric and Medical / Surgical departments.

Charlotte was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee. She spent many hours volunteering at Meals on Wheels and Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington.

Survivors include her two daughters; Gayle ( Gary )Nelson and Beth(Paul) Nielsen. Her daughter-in-law; Judy Campbell. Other survivors include her 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, William Campbell; her son, Douglas Campbell, and her sister, Betty Postl.

At Charlotte’s request, she was cremated. Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church 310 E. Main Street in East Dundee. Inurnment will be private. Charlotte’s family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers. Memorials may be made either to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
