Carol Jean Williams (nee Hennessy), age 84, of Algonquin, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at her home. Carol was born in Elgin on November 2, 1938, and was the daughter of the late James P. & Laurine L. (nee Rath) Hennessy. Carol was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1956 graduate of Dundee Community High School. On August 9, 1958, she married her beloved husband Leonard Dale Williams. Len preceded Carol in death on June 30, 2013, after 55 years of marriage. Carol was a very artistic and talented lady. She also was a gifted seamstress.

Survivors include her three daughters: Mary (Brett) Frese, Susan (John) Skillman, and Denise (the late Steven G.) Neumann; her grandchildren: Elizabeth Parsons, Jonathan (Larisa) Skillman, Amanda Skillman, Tanner(fiance’ Katy Herzog) Frese, and Jessica Neumann; her great-grandchildren: Stella Grace and Landen Parsons, Evan Blonskij, Colin and Arija Skillman, and Anthony Surma. Other Survivors include her sister Ellen(Gene) Henk, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Len, Carol was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Steven G. Neumann, and her sisters: Marilee Murray and Joanne Hennessy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:30 P.M. Rev. Phil Zilinski will officiate. Burial will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens Cemetery, West Dundee. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church in Algonquin.
