Obituary for Arlene H. Rehberg

Arlene H. Rehberg, age 90, of Algonquin former many-year resident of the Carpentersville-Dundee areas passed away peacefully under hospice care on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at River Crossing Healthcare Center in Elgin. Arlene was born on October 21, 1931, in Chicago and was the daughter of the late Joseph & Harriet (nee Kuciak) Brozny. On January 22, 1949, she married her beloved husband Herman W. Herman preceded Arlene in death on February 21, 1992, after 43 years of marriage. Arlene was a resident of the area for over 62 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother of 10, grandmother of 5, and great-grandmother of 4. She was a former many-year member of St. Monica Church in Carpentersville and later became a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in East Dundee. Survivors include her nine children: Christine Warner, Steve (Savina) Rehberg, Tom Rehberg, Mark Rehberg, Gary Rehberg, Kim (John) Strawcutter, Scott (Jenny) Rehberg, Tracy (Brian) Donnor, and Kurt Rehberg. Other survivors include her grandchildren: Jason (Julie) Rehberg, Corrine (Austin) Owens, Arika Veil, Hannah Rehberg, and Haden Donnor; her great-grandchildren, Gavin Rehberg, Noralee, Ayla, and Rylan Owens; her brother, Donald (Micky), as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Arlene was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence “Larry” Rehberg; her brother, Joe Brozny, and her sister, Delores Mohar.

Private Family visitation followed by funeral services will be held on Monday, October 17, 2022, at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee with Rev. William P. Yonker, Senior Pastor officiating. Private family committal and burial will follow at the Dundee Township East Cemetery in East Dundee.
