Aaron R. Walls, age 92, of East Dundee passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. Aaron was born in Handcock, Arkansas on June 18, 1930, and was the son of the late Newt & Iva (nee Pennington) Walls.

Aaron was a longtime resident of the Dundee area. Prior to retirement, for over 40 years, Aaron was a loyal and valued employee of Chicago Rawhide. Aaron was a very proud United States Marine Corp, W.W. II Veteran. He was a longtime member and Past Commander of Dundee VFW # 2298 as well as a Life Member of VFW. Aaron was also a longtime member of the Carpentersville Moose and for over 50 years was a member of A.F.&A.M.

Survivors include his son, Robert R. Walls, and his daughter, Deborah S. (the late Mark A.) Harmening. Other survivors include his granddaughter, Amanda M. (Matthew) Manno, and his grandson, Matthew A. (Felecia) Harmening; his great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Declan Scherman; along with his nieces, nephews, and many good and faithful friends and neighbors. In addition to his parents, Aaron was preceded in death by his brothers, Leo, Theo, Warren, Lloyd, Louis, and Billy Wayne Walls, and his sister Beatrice Walls Allen.

At Aaron’s request, he will be cremated. Memorial Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at 1:00 P.M. at Miller Funeral Home in West Dundee. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow at the Dundee Twp. East Cemetery in East Dundee. Aaron’s family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from Noon until the time of the service.
